The main source of nutrition for the wolf, the ancestor of our dogs, is of course meat and fish. However, it also consumes fruit, herbs and vegetables via the stomach contents of its prey or searches out and eats them specifically. This is how the wolf gets the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and phytochemicals it needs. However, the composition of WILD DUCK dry food goes one step further. The type and quantity of the individual food components have been carefully selected together with scientists, ensuring that WILD DUCK meets the latest scientific knowledge (about the nutritional needs of dogs). Superfoods and natural prebiotics also contribute to this. MOS: is a type of dietary fibre that can improve digestion and strengthen the immune system. FOS: is a prebiotic dietary fibre that can help maintain a balanced gut flora and is considered a natural antagonist of E. coli bacteria. Yucca schidigera is a member of the asparagus family and can help the body to counteract harmful stimuli. Jerusalem artichoke belongs to the daisy family and can strengthen the immune system of mammals through healthy intestinal flora, thus protecting them from various bacteria and viruses. WILD DUCK combines the original with the needs of your dog, enabling a natural and species-appropriate daily diet. All ingredients of this unique combination serve to maintain the health of your dog.

Dog food modelled on the wolf

Wolves hunt their prey in the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, and the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. This provides them with meat and nutrient-rich offal, but also with vegetables, fruits, berries, roots and herbs from the stomach contents of their prey. Cereals are not included here. This is how the wolf gets the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and phytochemicals it needs. Since the wolf is the ancestor of all dogs, Wolfsblut dry dog food is based on the wolf's natural eating habits. It contains a lot of meat or fish combined with superfoods that contain valuable ingredients – just as they would in nature, without any grain. The selection of extraordinary types of meat and nutrient-rich superfoods is based on the wolf's habitats and their colourful variety of food. Wolfsblut offers every dog a species-appropriate and original diet, and with its wide range of varieties, there is something for everyone to tolerate.
