The main food source of the wolf, the ancestor of our dogs, is of course meat and fish. However, it also ingests fruit, herbs and vegetables via the stomach contents of its prey or searches for and eats them specifically. This is how the wolf gets the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and phytochemicals it needs. But the composition of BLACK BIRD dry food goes one step further. The type and quantity of the individual food components have been put together with scientists, ensuring that BLACK BIRD meets the latest knowledge (about the nutritional needs of dogs). This makes BLACK BIRD dog food unique. Superfoods and natural prebiotics also contribute to this. MOS: is a type of dietary fibre and can improve digestion and strengthen the immune system. FOS: is a prebiotic dietary fibre. It can help to maintain a healthy gut flora and is considered a natural opponent of E. coli bacteria. Yucca schidigera is a member of the asparagus family and can help the body to counteract harmful stimuli. - Immutop is a concentrate made from Jerusalem artichoke tubers. It can strengthen the immune defences of mammals for healthy intestinal flora and thus protect them from various bacteria and viruses. BLACK BIRD combines the original with the needs of your dog, enabling a natural and species-appropriate daily diet. All the ingredients in this unique combination help to maintain your dog's health.

Dog food modelled on the wolf

Wolves hunt their prey in the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, and the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. This provides them with meat and nutrient-rich offal, but also with vegetables, fruits, berries, roots and herbs from the stomach contents of their prey. Cereals are not included here. This is how the wolf gets the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and phytochemicals it needs. Since the wolf is the ancestor of all dogs, Wolfsblut dry dog food is based on the wolf's natural eating habits. It contains a lot of meat or fish combined with superfoods that contain valuable ingredients – just as they would in nature, without any grain. The selection of extraordinary types of meat and nutrient-rich superfoods is based on the wolf's habitats and their colourful variety of food. Wolfsblut offers every dog a species-appropriate and original diet, and with its wide range of varieties, there is something for everyone to tolerate.
