Tetra AlgoStop depot

Algae in the aquarium do not look nice and can impair the growth of aquatic plants and have a long-term negative effect on the biological balance in the aquarium. Tetra AlgoStop depot prevents the growth of all types of algae in medium to large aquaria with a volume of 40 liters or more.

The highly concentrated active ingredient is released slowly due to the depot formula and thus ensures long-term prevention of algae growth for approx. 4 weeks. Tetra AlgoStop depot is gentle on all aquarium inhabitants, plants and microorganisms if the product is used as directed. The highly concentrated active ingredient actively interferes with the metabolism of the algae and effectively prevents their formation.

The aquarium water is not discolored during use. Tetra AlgoStop depot is suitable for all freshwater aquaria.

During use, the aquarium must be aerated, e.g. using a Tetra APS aquarium air pump, to ensure a sufficient supply of oxygen.

Dead algae should preferably be removed mechanically with a net, as they have a negative effect on the water quality. To prevent new algae growth in the long term after use, the algae nutrients phosphate and nitrate should be reduced, e.g. with Tetra EasyBalance. For acute control, special algaecides such as Tetra AlguMin or Tetra Algizit can also be used, the active ingredient of which is released quickly.
