It is not a problem if, for example, your neon also eats the food for your small barbs and vice versa. It is only important that you offer the right food for each group of fish. No problem: In the JBL species concept you will find a mouth-friendly granulate for neon (and other small tetras), the composition of which is precisely adapted to the needs of the fish, including insects, the JBL PRONOVO NEON. In their natural habitats in South America, neons live in very nutrient-poor blackwater biotopes and are dependent on small, mouth-friendly plankton. With a protein-fat ratio of 6.5:1, the natural diet of small tetra species is taken into account. Their food, predominantly plankton animals, is filled with vegetable ingredients. JBL PRONOVO NEON therefore also contains a relatively high proportion of plant-based ingredients. The proportion of insect protein fits in perfectly with their diet, as insect larvae form part of their food spectrum.

The right food size:

A very important aspect of correct feeding is the size of the food to fit their mouths. Especially with small fish species, it is important that the animals get the food morsels into their mouths, as they cannot bite off properly. If you are unsure of two food sizes, always choose the smaller one. Predatory fish species cope much better with larger chunks of food, as their food spectrum also includes chunks of food that are "too big".
