Hobby Planaria X - Planarian trap

Planaria (Plathelminthes) also known as whirl worms, disc worms, turbellaria or flatworms are unpopular guests in the aquarium, which can also be dangerous to many a keeper.

By their nocturnal way of life, many aquarists are not even aware of the presence of these pests.

Always there is a mass reproduction of these animals, which can then become a nuisance.

In freshwater aquariums, their preferred victims include freshly skinned shrimp, small shrimp and their fry, but also weak animals, juveniles and eggs.

But also in marine aquariums there are flatworms and strudelworms, which can harm corals and other animals by strong reproduction.

Nearly all available chemical aids harm not only the planarians, but also the sensitive aquarium inhabitants.

The Planaria X reliably catches these pests from the aquarium without chemical aids.

Lured by the enclosed bait, the planaria crawl through one of the 8 openings into the trap and can no longer get out due to the special design.

Tip: Our Planaria X Special Bait is ideal as bait. If this is not at hand, a frozen food such as red mosquito larvae or mysis will also work.

Operation Planaria X

1. Remove the lid of the trap
2. Open the capsule of the included Planaria X Special Bait and distribute it inside the trap
3. Close the trap and allow it to fill with water in the aquarium
4. Position the Planaria X anywhere in the substrate with the 8 openings facing down
5. If planaria are seen in the trap, clean the trap and refill with bait
