The porous material is evenly penetrated by the water and retains coarse and very fine dirt particles. After a short running-in period, cleaning bacteria settle in the structured special foam, which ensure intensive biological degradation of pollutants.

The mats can be used several times. To clean them, they should only be rinsed and squeezed out so that the bacterial cultures are not completely destroyed.
