Great possibilities in a small space

The Eggster incubator has been designed to take up as little space as possible in your aquarium. It can be used in a 25 cm high aquarium, but also in a deeper aquarium of 40 to 60 cm.

As you can see, this incubator for L-catfish is very versatile and can be adapted to almost all types of aquariums. Thanks to the 3 suction cups, the incubator can be attached anywhere on the inside glass of the aquarium.

Optimized water circulation

The Eggster incubator works with a turbo suction system. This Czech air lifter draws in the contents of the incubation chamber in a circular and uniform manner. The incubation chamber in turn draws water from the aquarium through a sieve system, creating a conical and circular upward flow. This flow ensures even flow distribution and optimum movement for the eggs to hatch.

Better flow

Thanks to its special shape, the incubation chamber of the incubator redirects the water flow from bottom to top in a cone shape. This enables better distribution and movement of the eggs, which prevents the development of mold.

Very space-saving

The incubator has been specially developed for use in low aquariums, so loricariid catfish breeders no longer have to worry about incubators that are too large and don't actually fit in their aquariums.

No osmotic shock due to the change in environment

The use of the incubator allows you to incubate the eggs directly with the parent animals. This means there is no risk of osmotic shock to the spawn.

Very easy to clean

The incubator is very easy to clean: simply rinse thoroughly with tap water and scrub off the dirtiest areas with a toothbrush, for example.

3D printing with bioplastics

The majority of the parts that make up the incubator were 3D printed using bio-based materials made from corn starch. Rest assured, this material will not decompose in your aquarium! In fact, it would take years for the incubator to show signs of decomposition. This new technology offers completely safe and durable materials for your fish in the aquarium.

Important: In order to use the Eggster incubator for L-catfish, you must connect the incubator to a membrane pump. This is not included in the scope of delivery. However, you can also find diaphragm pumps in our aquarium store if required.
