Dennerle Dosator

The Dennerle Dosator, made of high-quality plastic, works according to the principle of osmosis. Water “migrates” from the aquarium through the semi-permeable special membrane into the reservoir, which pushes the nutrient solution drop by drop into the aquarium via the riser tube. This has two effects: firstly, the aquarium receives the amount of fertilizer it needs, and secondly, the Dosator becomes a “tank indicator”: as water gradually penetrates and pushes fertilizer into the aquarium, the fertilizer-water mixture contained in the Dosator becomes clearer and clearer. When the contents of the storage tank lose their color (S7 orange, V30 yellowish green), you know it is time to fertilize. Aquarium plants benefit from a constant, even supply of nutrients, just like in nature. This ensures healthy, balanced plant growth and lets the aquarium shine in a magnificent, lush green. Disadvantages due to excessive nutrient levels caused by shock fertilization are a thing of the past. And best of all: the overall lower nutrient level and the needs-based nutrient supply to the plants counteracts excessive algae growth.

The Dosator with constant fertilization

The Dosator was specially developed for use with Plant System V30 and Plant System S7 as part of the Dennerle fertilizer system: V30 is dosed automatically over 4 weeks, S7 over 1 week (2 Dosators are required for this). The innovative fertilizer dosing unit made of high-quality, durable plastic can be used to supply aquariums from 50 to 300 liters. The Dosator is also ideal for use with V30 as a stand-alone fertilizer and ensures an even, drop-by-drop supply of fertilizer over 1 month. As the Dosator works purely according to the physical principle of osmosis and has no moving parts, nor does it require batteries or a power connection (like a dosing pump/automatic fertilizer dispenser), it works very reliably and economically. It also offers clear advantages over a classic daily fertilizer, as the device only needs to be refilled once a week (S7) or once a month (V30).
