Areca fiber / Palm fiber

The areca fibers come from the areca palm and are suitable for aquaristics and terraristics.

In part, the fiber is called "shrimp breeding ground", which is somewhat misleading.

We would rather call the fibers a very practical water additive.

The fibers contain many tannins, which are slowly released and have a positive effect on the aquarium water (similar to sea almond leaves).

In addition, a kind of climbing scaffold is created, which offers hiding places even for the smallest and can be constantly grazed by the resulting growth.

Perfectly the fiber mats can also be used in terraristics as decoration, climbing opportunity or for lining caves and wetboxes.

The areca fibers have a very long shelf life.

The really very large and therefore productive plates can be easily cut with scissors to the required size.

Like almost every natural product, the fibers also need some time to sink.

Areca fibers are also ideal for sparsely furnished breeding tanks (can be quickly removed) and also make a great photo background, especially since the shrimp like to stay on it.
