What is NitroMAX Pro?

NitroMAX Pro is a unique filter cartridge for chemical filtration of water in freshwater aquariums, swamp and mire terrariums and terrarium tanks. It is in the form of fleece bags filled with a specially selected ion exchange resin stabilized with a filler. It is used for chemical absorption of nitrogen compounds dissolved in water, which are one of the main causes of deterioration of health form of fish and formation of troublesome algae in aquarium.

How does NitroMAX Pro work?

The unique ion exchange resin used in the NitroMAX Pro filter cartridge has excellent absorption properties. As a result, it absorbs from the water the toxic nitrogen compounds dissolved in it. It captures nitrite and nitrate ions from the water, protects fish from nitrous substances harmful to them and limits the extent and frequency of water exchange. Exceptionally effectively it prevents the formation of algae.

Where and when does the use of NitroMAX Pro prove effective?

NitroMAX Pro proves excellent as a filter bed in canister filters, overflow filters, sump aquariums and internal filters that have chambers for loose substances. It is especially recommended for tanks with large fish and a large number of fish where there are problems with an excessive amount of nitrogen compounds in the water. The use of NitroMAX Pro limits the amount and frequency of water replacement and maintains the aquarium water parameters that are correct and safe for the fish.

How to use NitroMAX Pro?

NitroMAX Pro is ready for immediate use and does not require rinsing or other preparation for use. The package contents are added to the filter basket or chamber. For best results, it is recommended that the NitroMAX Pro insert be placed downstream of the mechanical and biological filtration filter inserts.

How long does NitroMAX Pro work?

The mode of action of the NitroMAX Pro filter insert (sorption) causes it to gradually fill and wear out. To maintain optimal filtration characteristics, it is recommended to change it no less frequently than every 4 weeks. One bag guarantees filtration in about 70 l of aquarium for the duration of about 30 days.
