BioCeraMAX Pro 600 is a unique filter cartridge for biological filtration of water in fresh22 and saltwater aquariums, swamp and bog aquariums, aquaterrariums and terrarium tanks. It has the shape of cylinders made of porous ceramic material, which guarantees a very large filtration surface.

How does BioCeraMAX Pro 600 work?

On the inner surface of the pores of the BioCeraMAX Pro 600 cylinders, strains of beneficial nitrate-forming bacteria of the Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter species settle over time. In their life processes, these microorganisms make use of the metabolic products ammonia (Nitrosomonas) and nitrites (Nitrobacter), which are toxic to fish, and oxidize them to nitrates, which are much less dangerous to the inhabitants of the aquarium.

Where and when does the use of BioCeraMAX Pro 600 prove its worth?

The BioCeraMAX Pro 600 filter cartridge works excellently as a filter bed in canister filters, overflow filters, sump aquariums and filter chambers. It can be used in freshwater and marine aquariums. It is especially recommended for tanks with large fish or a large number of fish.

How to use BioCeraMAX Pro 600?

BioCeraMAX Pro 600 is ready for immediate use and does not require rinsing or other preparation for use. The contents of the package are transferred to the filter basket or chamber. For best results, it is recommended that BioCeraMAX Pro 600 be placed after the mechanical filtration cartridges and before the chemical filtration cartridges.

How long does BioCeraMAX Pro 600 work?

The BioCeraMAX Pro 600 filter insert can be used for a very long time without replacement, but is subject to slow, gradual wear due to crumbling, which reduces its effectiveness. However, to ensure optimum effectiveness, replacement of approximately 1/3 of the insert with a new one every 6-12 months is recommended.
